Interested in Joining the Power Squadron?
To qualify for membership an applicant must:
| 1: | Be at least 18 years of age. |
| 2: | Pass an approved Safe Boating Course. Not necessarily the Power Squadron Safe Boating Course. |
| 3: | Be approved by the Squadron Executive Committee. |
| 4: | Be willing to contribute time, energy and skills to help the Squadron meet the objectives of the USPS. |
| 5: | Pay the applicable fees: $82 for a
single membership $123 for a family membership |
We are an organization of volunteers: Every member is expected to participate in
Squadron activities, such as:
| 1: | Taking classes to further their nautical education. |
| 2: | Participating in the cooperative charting program. |
| 3: | Participating in the vessel safety check program. |
| 4: | Helping on a committee. |
Type of memberships:
| 1: | Active - Single membership only |
| 2: | Family - Includes Spouse and/or dependent children,
they do not
have to pass an exam, however, they must pass a safe boating exam to take additional classes. |
| 3: | Trial membership - $20 six month trial membership for new graduates of the USPS Safe Boating Course |
